Volunteer Centre Dacorum supports more than 470 other local groups to find the volunteers they need to keep vital services running. Our member organisations tell us that without our help, they would struggle to find the volunteer helpers they need, some might even have to close down.

Investing in Your Volunteers
Volunteer Centre Dacorum is committed to helping organisations that are active in our local community to involve volunteers in their work effectively, safely and in a way that benefits both the organisation and the volunteer.
We do this by offering information, guidance and training in best practice and by encouraging the organisations we work with to sign up to the ‘6 Point Promise’

Developing Links with the Business Sector
Nationally, the demand for employee volunteering is on the rise. NCVO (a national organisation that champions volunteering) research has found that whilst 72% of companies expect to increase their involvement in corporate/community partnerships, the major barrier to organising successful Employer Supported Volunteering (ESV) programmes is finding voluntary opportunities.
Volunteer Centre Dacorum has a track record of helping to organise successful team challenges that have made a fantastic contribution to the work of a number of local good causes including Woodfield School, Aycliffe Drive Nursery and Dacorum Womens Aid Centre.
Whether you have a practical project in mind or would benefit from some specialist advice, Volunteer Centre Dacorum will be happy to see how we can help.
